Two Bailey men who filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit against Park County officials and an Aspen Park-based veterinarian are scheduled to take their case to trial in February 2016, and are seeking more than $5 million in damages.

Ron Swift and Randy Hatlee, who co-manage Echo Valley Ranch and the Bailey Feed Store, were prosecuted in 2013 for a combined eight counts of animal cruelty after seven emaciated horses were seized from the ranch. Both men were found innocent of all charges by a Park County jury in March 2013.
