...FIRE WEATHER WATCH OVER THE PALMER DIVIDE REGION TUESDAY...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND ANOTHER DAY OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES
CAN BE EXPECTED. FIRE DANGER WILL BE ELEVATED FROM THE PALMER
DIVIDE INTO ELBERT AND LINCOLN COUNTIES WHERE SOUTHERLY WINDS
GRADUALLY INCREASE TODAY. A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER COLORADO
WILL BRING THE MILD AND DRY WEATHER THROUGH TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

TUESDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE WARM AND BREEZY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE
EASTERN PLAINS. THIS MAY CAUSE CRITICAL FIRE DANGER
CONDITIONS...MAINLY OVER THE PALMER DIVIDE WHERE A FIRE WEATHER
WATCH IS IN EFFECT.

THE LATTER HALF OF THE WEEK IS EXPECTED TO BE MUCH COOLER WITH
UNSETTLED WEATHER. A STRONG UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM IS FORECAST
TO MOVE OVER THE FOUR CORNERS REGION AND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO FROM
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THIS WILL PRODUCE ACCUMULATING SNOW IN
THE MOUNTAINS AND A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW ACROSS THE PLAINS.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY CURRENTLY HAVE THE HIGHEST
PROBABILITY OF SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION OCCURRING. BUT THE
UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN MAY EXTEND INTO THE WEEKEND IF THE UPPER
LEVEL LOW STALLS OVER NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.
