Sorry, this is kind of long-overdue from our upgrade in November. :) The new, fun things you can do with the bbcodes listed above! For most of these, type in whatever you want to say, highlight the text to select it, then click the button above for whatever you'd like to do to the text. There are a few that have an extra step, they are explained below. If you ever have any questions, or would like some help, please PM this nic, or send us an email!

Sometimes we'd like to indent text to indicate a list. There are a few different ways you can do this depending upon if you prefer it to indent only, indent with bullet points, or indent with numbered points. See below for how to do this and PM us if you have any questions!

List
If I want to make a list that's easier to read, type your title, then your list underneath as if you were starting a sentence on a new line each time, highlight what you want to make an indented list and click the List button from above:
Why do I love the color blue
It's pretty
It's soothing
I want to fly in the blue sky
Water is awesome

Highlight from "It's pretty" through "Water is awesome", Click List

Why do I love the color blue
Code:
[list]It's pretty
It's soothing
I want to fly in the blue sky
Water is awesome[/list]
Looks like this:
Why do I love the color blue
    It's pretty
    It's soothing
I want to fly in the blue sky
    Water is awesome

* If you want to add bullets, highlight and click the [*] button above around each list point so it knows to which sentence to add a bullet:
Why do I love the color blue
Code:
[list][*]It's pretty[/*]
[*]It's soothing[/*]
[*]I want to fly in the blue sky[/*]
[*]Water is awesome[/*][/list]

Why do I love the color blue
  • It's pretty
  • It's soothing
  • I want to fly in the blue sky
  • Water is awesome

* If you want to add numbers, use the [List=] button, enter the number of list points, then highlight each point and click the [*] button so it knows which point to number:
Why do I love the color blue
Code:
[list=4][*]It's pretty[/*]
[*]It's soothing[/*]
[*]I want to fly in the blue sky[/*]
[*]Water is awesome[/*][/list]

Why do I love the color blue
  1. It's pretty
  2. It's soothing
  3. I want to fly in the blue sky
  4. Water is awesome

Some other fun things to do:

quoteEm - Quote another poster
What Does It Do - allows a poster to quote another member's comments, similar to the original Quote button
"Science Chic" wrote:
I'm looking forward to a delicious dinner and a glass of wine tonight

How Do You Do This:
Type whatever text you'd like, highlight it to select, click the [quoteEm] button above, enter the author's nic without quotation marks right behind the word quoteEm inside the carrot
Code:
[quoteEmScience Chic]I'm looking forward to a delicious dinner and a glass of wine tonight[/quoteEm]

Bluebox
What Does It Do - let's you make text stand out by placing a blue lined box around it

This is bluebox

How Do You Do This:
Type in whatever text you'd like highlighted in the Dialog Box, highlight the text, click the bluebox button above

important
What Does It Do - adds a black box with red outline around your text
Will you dance with me?

How Do You Do This:
Type what you want to say in the Dialog box, highlight to select, click the "important" button above.
*You can add other style changes such as Bold, Italics, Underline, Font Style and Font Size inside this box as well. So this:
Code:
[important][b][font=Lucida Console][size=200][i]Will you dance with me?[/i][/size][/font][/b][/important]

Will look like this:
Will you dance with me?

Code
What Does It Do - This disables the bbcode so it shows up how you changed the text of your post
How did you center that text?
Show someone else what you did to make something happen different with the text of the post:

Code:
[center]Show someone else what you did to make something happen different with the text of the post:[/center]
