I have three quick announcements:

1) Thursday October 24th is the Jefferson County Public Library All Staff Day conference. There will be no public hours this day. Sorry for the inconvenience. We do have an outdoor book drop for anything that needs returning on this day. We will resume regularly scheduled hours on Saturday October 26th.

2) Parking continues to be a large issue at the library. There is a designated area for library parking right next to the roundabout at the school. Signage marks it as such. If anyone is here for activities (sporting events, banquets, school functions)that are not library related please use the other parking lots. Help me spread the word so that we always have plenty of parking for our library patrons. Thanks for understanding.

and finally,

3) We appreciate the community's continued patronage, and we understand that the hours for the public library may not be ideal. However, due to the safety and security of school staff and students, please do not enter the school building or the library until the public library opens at 2:30. I know everyone can appreciate the sensitivity of this issue. Adults coming to the school campus without school related business and/or not checking into the office during school hours can create tension among staff and students. Please help me spread the word on this as well, and thank you for understanding.

Brian
