~ Mountain Area Home and Garden Show – Saturday and Sunday May 18 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and 19 (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM) at Conifer High School. See Show website for details http://www.homeshowcolorado.com/ . Vendor booths available now. Proceeds benefit our mountain communities through Rotary Clubs of Conifer and Evergreen.
~ Spring Fling-It Recycling Festival – Saturday May 18 (9 AM til 3 PM) at Conifer High School and Conifer BigO Tires. SEE FLYER BELOW - SAVE YOUR STUFF. VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED – STAY TUNED… (NOTE: Recycling on Saturday only in conjunction with Mountain Area Home and Garden Show)
Items to be collected are:
~ Electronics (Charges will apply to most items) ~ Metals (Free) includes appliances but NO refrigerators, freezers, gases or mercury ~ Styrofoam (Free) but NO peanuts or bubble wrap (take to UPS store in Conifer) ~ Document shredding (Free) ~ Furniture (Free) – NO mattresses ~ Clothes, Shoes (Free) ~ Bicycles, Mobility Devices – wheelchairs, crutches, braces, walkers (Free) ~ Children’s car seats (Free) ~ Co-Mingled items (paper/newspapers, metal cans, plastics #1-7, cardboard, glass, empty aerosol cans) ~ Tires (Charges will apply – drop off at BigO Tires in Conifer)
NO paints, batteries, household hazardous items.
~ Community Veterans Coalition Rendezvous – Saturday, May 18 (7:00 AM til 1:00 PM) at Community Park at Beaver Ranch. See http://www.coloradovets.net for details.
~~Free breakfast for Veterans. ~~Free Veterans services – mobile veterans center; health screening; county, state and national service providers; Veterans and family information services ~~In honor of our Veterans and their families; the public is invited.
~ Conifer Mountain BBQ Challenge – Friday, August 16 (2:00 to 7:00 PM) and Saturday, August 17 (10 AM to 7 PM), 2013 at Meyer Ranch. SEE ATTACHED INFO and http://www.conifermtnbbq.com for details.
~ Rotary Club of Conifer Community Projects Fund Raiser. FREE to the PUBLIC EVENT. ~ Kansas City BBQ Society-sanctioned event, with regional BBQ cook teams vying for prizes and recognition. ~ Includes craft beer and wine tastings, food, music, artists and crafters, non-profit information booths and children’s area. ~ Will be marketed throughout Denver Metro area, as well as locally, through print, broadcast media, on the web and within social media networks. ~ Sponsorship information available at http://www.conifermtnbbq.com or contact Tom Becker at 303-807-2586.
