Yeah, we'd be sooo much better off with the guy who fashioned Massachusetts health care and who said he wants universal coverage for everyone. He changes his position every 10 minutes.

So you are admitting Romney does have a pretty liberal record when he is actually in office instead of just campaigning?

What would you prefer, a true bipartisan who can get goverment working again? Or a POTUS who Congress refuses to work with?
Re-elect Obama and the gridlock will continue, or choose Romney.

I don't have to admit Romney has a liberal record. It's there for anyone to see. What I find fascinating is how the Right kept saying he was the Republican establishment pick and wouldn't make a good candidate. Now you guys are falling all over yourselves saying what a great candidate he is.

Romney will say whatever is convenient at the moment. I sincerely hope people see that.

I don't see many "R"'s saying he will make a great candidate. Gawky in public, sticks his foot in his mouth, much too liberal for most GOP'rs. But I do think he will make a better Presdent.

Mitt's attack dogs were pretty brutal to his GOP opponents, it will be interesting to see if they will be just as rough on Obama. Unlike McCain who played too honorably.

I have heard nothing from Romney that indicates he would be better president than Obama. Quite the contrary...the man has no backbone. He will do what is convenient not what is right. I just can't see him making a decision like Obama did to go into Pakistan and take out Bin Laden....it doesnt seem to be in his nature to make choices that might place him in an unfavorable light. He is more image than substance.

That Fred is hogwash. He's fixated on being president and has yet to show me what he would do for this country, only what he has promised to do to keep the far right wing Republicans happy which is pretty much the opposite of what he has done in the past.

Everyone's view is different. I do think he wants to be president badly but so does everyone who is willing to go through the hell of a modern campaign. But with his record of problem solving in private industry the Olympics and in p[or]olitics I think he will like the challenge of getting America back on track. And as a self made wealthy man he will be less beholden to the money guys like Obama and Clinton were.
