I thought I'd start a GREEN thread. I know there are lots of people out there who really care about the environment, healthy living - isn't that the reason we all are living in the mountains - we love nature! and we want to enjoy it, so we need to take steps to protect it.

It would be fun to share links and information.

Here is my first one

The Story of Cosmetics - New groundbreaking animation about the deadly chemicals in personal care products (and yes it has to do w the environment too, as all this stuff goes into our wells and groundwater as well)

http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=DF7480A7C ... B0F0D4AB00

Can't wait to see your links, info etc!

thanks Joe, I have heard of this company, was more thinking of something on a larger scale such as the one we had behind Safeway.

Very interesting JMC and thanks for bringing yoga into the "green" equation... rightly so - I've been saying this all along. when I first came to this country (after having practiced yoga for 30 years in Europe) it was very frustrating that there were no yoga studios in the area (talking 285 corridor) and yoga was considered something "very strange", I am glad to see that that is changing dramatically and people realizing the benefits of practicing it, but at the same time a lot of studios/instructors are focusing mostly on the asanas (postures), forgetting the tremendous spiritual aspect of yoga, which really is the essence and main aspect, asanas are just a positive physical by-product.

On another note, would you like to share some thoughts on "green" cars - from your firsthand experience?

It isn't specifically "green", but covers many green issues:
