Notes from Diane (with smarty-pants comments in purple inserted by moi, Sally):

Hello everyone,
Greetings to all, and hope you all are staying warm!

We have a Wine and Cheese coming up the 26th of January, from 5-8 PM. Marti Miller will be here taking your orders for Pampered Chef. She is retiring, so this will be your last chance to order from her. Heather Davis, with 31 Bags, will be joining her that night also, and you will be able to order from both the old catalog(expires Jan. 31st) and the new . Also, only on Jan. 26th - If you mention this email, you will receive 20% off of ANY Brown Sheep Yarns. So please plan on joining us!

*If anyone wishes to order any of the Addi Clicks interchangeable needle sets (lace, regular, and bamboo),
they will receive a 20% discount if ordered by Feb. 15th.*
(Not a smarty-pants comment, but fyi, superhubby gave me the Addi Clicks lace needle set for my birthday last year and I am absolutely smitten with them!!!)

We are collecting donations for the Adopt - A - Native - Elder Program, that benefits Native American children. For more information, please go to http://www.anelder.org. January's items are toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, soap, lotion, deodorant. February, we will be collecting hair products (shampoo, conditioner, hair brush, comb, hair clips). These items will be put together for Christmas stockings later in the year.

Knit Knook is also collecting knitted hats for homeless vets.

February classes are up on our web site at http://www.knitknook.com, and soon we will have March's listed. Come take a class and learn a new technique!
Look for a crochet class coming up the end of March, and into April.

SOMETHING NEW - Diane would like to come up with fun knitting-related T-shirts to sell at the Knit Knook. We know we have very creative customers, so we want you all to come and give us your ideas for what these T-shirts should say! Keep it clean girls! (I have two favorites: of course there's "I Knit So I Don't Kill People", but that's not really original, the other is "Life's too short to knit with crap yarn." I also suggested "Friends don't let friends cable drunk" but that's another story althogether.)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Congratulations to Diane and our customers at Knit Knook for voting us the best in Gifts and Entertainment in the Mountain Connections contest! Hooray! You can see the You Tube video on 285 Bound, Mountain Connections, and Facebook. My theory here is that either the voters all showed up for a Wine and Cheese night or a random Hey! It's Saturday Morning! Let's Have Mimosas!
