Meet our newest family members Kiwi and Cheeto (Pacific Parrotlets)

They like sleeping with their bear but they are wide awake right now.

I could look this up, but what is a parrotlet? Is it a mini parrot? How old are they? Can you teach them to talk?

They are two months old and right now they are about 3 1/2 inches long max they will get to 5 inches.

Yes, they are the smallest of the parrots and you can teach them to talk (boys are more likely to talk than girls).

We have had them for a little over a day now, Cheeto is considered a pastel yellow and Kiwi is a Green Pied the colors will become more vibrant as they get older.

I've often thought I'd like to have birds, but I think it would drive my cats crazy.
